The child recovered completely after a week course of antibiotics 2 times in last 1-2 months without any supportive or definite diagnosis in another hospital. The basic routine invest was normal. During the 3rd episode of fever developed SFS and I was called to see the child. It was about 8 PM and on a 1st exam, I got nothing positive. Then again history was dug from the mother. I got the history of mild laming during each febrile episodes.
This history clinched the diagnosis. His next day Hb was 7 and reticulocytes mildly elevated. What is a cause of fever? What diagnosis do you suggest?
