Case History: I have male patient with HIV seropositive. Patient is of 39 years and he is suffering from HIV since 1 year. He is on HAART (Anti- retroviral therapy) as follows. A Tablet of combination Efavirenz, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir was given. One tab of this at bedtime was given since a year. Now he developed adverse side-effects as follows: Insomnia c/o initial sleep but after some hour, loss of sleep and insomnia till morning. Leg cramps c/o restless leg cramps.
So he is moving leg continuously during night. Multiple crying episode What should be the cause? What is the practical management? Is there any need for change of drugs? Is there any need for sedative or antidepressant therapy? Thanks Please guide me, what to do?
