Case presentation ·         A 16-year-old male high school athlete presented with a complaint of atraumatic left ankle discomfort and edema after a high school football game. ·         One month before presentation, the patient had moderate left medial-sided ankle discomfort. ·         The patient's symptoms increased dramatically during the competition. Physical findings ·         There were no postural abnormalities in the neurovascularly intact left foot and ankle. ·         Swelling and discomfort in the medial malleolus, as well as pain while performing an external rotation stress test was observed.
