On the death of a patient, a case filed in consumer dispute redressal forum which ordered an anaesthetist (who was not MD in anaesthesia but was a medical graduate with 3 years of work experience in anaesthesia ward) to pay a huge compensation to attendants, as he was not a qualified anaesthetist. Is it a valid decision, especially in the present scenario, when homeopathic or ayurvedic graduates are allowed to practise modern medicines?
