Is there a law or a limitation on which patients can be treated by an MBBS doctor or an MD? If there is no written legal instruction by the govt, how does one expect every doctor to know his or her legal limitations? Recently I have discovered that Orthopedic Surgeons are not competent to treat Rheumatic disorders, MD medicine is not competent to treat Myocardial Infarction, nor Pediatric patients. Can a General Practitioner treat Bronchial Asthma Cases?
This is the domain of Pulmonologists. So should they stop treating such cases? Should MBBS degree be scrapped?
