There is a tremendous increase in the cases of misconduct, abusive behavior, harassment, physical and mental assault and litigation against health care providers! Law of the land and guidelines of medical controlling authorities are also tilted in favour of the perceived victim, in our case the patient. A new trend is taking shape, in which doctors in the peripheral set ups or in smaller hospitals try to shift cases to higher, bigger or medical college hospitals. Basically, done to avoid potential risks. As medical transfer of casualties is poorly organised and managed in our country, results in poor prognosis even after reaching a bigger setup.
