I often see medical students and Practioner investing heavy amounts on expensive "Made in USA" stethoscopes. Somehow, it has become imperative to carry such branded stuff equating them for quality. The commonly available "Made in India" stethoscopes do not seem to match the quality of their American counterparts. I am still using one H.Mukherjee stethoscope which was gifted to me by a friend. It has faithfully served me for over two decades and still going strong! But, I do not know if this brand is still prevalent and maintains the same quality.
While encouraging students and practitioners to use "Made in India" products, can you please suggest some of the best "Made in India" stethoscopes?
