In the context of some recent incidents of disaster in free medical camps such as sterilization camps and eye camp where people have lost their life or vision, I really want to put forward some questions to my esteemed colleague through this large online platform. In most cases, organizers like government bodies or NGO's are unable to provide sufficient infrastructure and clinical environment to a visiting doctor who has been assigned an absurd number of surgeries or patients at those camps just to achieve a political or financial gain for the organizers. Then, in such incidences, why is it always doctors who are being probed?

Are they solely responsible for such incidents? There are so many parameters like cleaning, sterilization, quality of medication and injection provided where doctors have no part to play. Can doctors, especially medical officers in government service, refuse such…
