WHO Recommendations On BCG Vaccine * A single dose of BCG vaccine is recommended to all healthy neonates at birth or at earliest in countries with a high incidence of TB and/or high leprosy burden. * Co-administration of BCG with the hepatitis B birth dose is strongly recommended. * In countries with low TB/leprosy burden, vaccination is recommended for high-risk neonates at birth. * Vaccination is recommended for unvaccinated, tuberculin skin testing negative or interferon-γ release assay negative older children, adolescents and adults from settings with high incidence of TB/leprosy or risk of occupational exposure.
