Indian doctors take a lot of pride in the amount of clinical experience they have , because their clinical workload is so heavy. Busy doctors are swamped with patients, and are often masters in their own field. In spite of this, the number of publications in reputed medical journals from India is pathetically low. We need to introspect and figure out why this is so, because we know that publishing an article in a respected medical journal is considered to be one of the highlights of a doctor's career.
