World Hearing Day is observed every year on 3 March to raise global awareness about hearing health, highlight hearing loss prevention, and promote ear and hearing care. It’s led by the World Health Organization (WHO) in partnership with governments, professional bodies and civil society to advocate for better hearing care policies and services across countries. Each year has a specific theme to guide activities and messaging; the 2026 theme is “From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children,” focusing on reaching children where they live and learn with hearing care interventions.
