The decreased bone mineral density and bone mass in osteoporosis lead to regular bone fractures, severe pain, or long-term disability in aging people. Women are more affected by osteoporosis than men. Various awareness campaigns and activities promote early diagnosis, management, and preventive tips for strong bones to reduce the burden of osteoporosis on society. Every year, 20 th October is marked as World Osteoporosis Day .
