One in every three women and one in five men aged 50 years or above may suffer from a fractured bone due to osteoporosis. A small fall can result in potentially life-threatening injuries due to brittle bones that can break easily. Unfortunately, this disease negatively affects many people due to a lack of awareness and screening measures despite being so common. World Osteoporosis Day is observed on 20 th October every year to raise global awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases.

This year, let us pledge to unitedly Take Action for Bone Health! What action will you take to ensure optimal bone health for your patients? Source: Awareness days, World Osteoporosis Day
