With the changing medical field, violence against doctors, disrupted work-life balance, and other concerns, doctors these days prefer not recommending medicine as a career choice to their children. According to a survey conducted in UK, it was observed that two-third of doctors would not recommend a career in medicine to their children. The doctors opined that the working conditions have deteriorated, and many doctors are switching their profession. The Indian scenario is not much different.
The violence against doctors is increasing day by day, in addition to their profession being defamed. There is also a lack of work-life balance while working under stressful conditions and pressure. Apart from these concerns, considering the finances, doctors are remunerated at par with their international counterparts.
