A wrong-site surgery incident at Mathura Das Mathur Hospital in Jodhpur has drawn widespread attention after a 66-year-old woman underwent surgery on the incorrect leg, prompting an internal inquiry and administrative action against a senior orthopedic faculty member. The patient, Champa Devi, was admitted following injuries sustained during a physical altercation. Clinical evaluation reportedly revealed fractures in both legs.
