The world is facing the threat of another endemic of Zika virus fever. The major complication associated with this infection is its suspected link to thousands of babies being born with underdeveloped brains, a defect called microcephaly. Although the reports of this disease are limited to Brazil and other South American countries, the disease has the potential to spread far and fast. The incidence of the disease has even raised the question about the Rio Olympic to be held in Brazil this year.

In connection with the suspected link of this infection to microcephaly and other neurodevelopmental disorder, World Health Organization has declared it as an international emergency.
