The Ministry of Health Office and Healthcare Transformation (MOTH), Singapore, has announced the expansion of the pilot Mobile Inpatient Care at Home (MIC@Home) program, enabling more patients to get hospital-type care at home. It would now include four more public healthcare institutions in the country. Progress so far With around 1000 patients admitted under the program to date and the average stay being seven days, the program could save about 7000 beds already! What started initially for patients with skin infections, UTIs, and congestive heart failure, has now been extended to children with dengue fever, skin infections, eczema, and those undergoing elective surgery.
