I had a patient he is having recurrant fever history since last 3 months. after treatment he is relived from fever for one week; than once again he gets fever. fever is high grade every time >102 each episod. it will subside after cold sponging or bath. simonteniously parents took him to pediatrician. he advised CBC(hb 10.0 tlc 22000, dlc neutrophilia82%), peripheral smear, Urine Routine, Widal , Malarial parasite,chest Xray all investigations except cbc are normal.
pediatrician prescribed antibiotics patient improved. once again after a week pateint came with similar complain. at this time he repated tests results is same so he added blood culture. after that he gave antibiotics. same story repeats, this time patient had mild throt congestion so advised to put on prophylactic penicillin for a month, but story repeats once again this time again we examined cbc, PS, Urine, Widal ,MP…
