Highlights 3D model-assisted spine surgeries can be performed in a shorter time than conventional spine surgeries. Lesser blood loss and intraoperative fluoroscopy exposures were also noticed in the 3D model-assisted spine surgeries. AO spinal type-C injuries affect bone structures and disco-ligamentous complex anteriorly and posteriorly and lead to instability and displacement of bone elements.
It is necessary to avoid vascular, visceral, or neurological complications and ensure the accurate placement of pedicle screws during surgery.
