In many state colleges, budding MBBS doctors are subjected to stringent bond conditions for pursuing postgraduate courses. In this regard, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to reduce the bond money to 50%. MBBS doctors who desire to pursue PG medical courses will have to pay Rs 5 lakhs as bond money instead of 10 lakhs. The move came into existence when resident doctors were subjected to pay according to the bank guarantee policy.
The Chief Minister while addressing in the ongoing budget session assured that the state cabinet would decrease bank guaranteed bond to half. This move will aid the budding doctors to take up PG courses.
