Today I visited a private hospital. The paediatrician (DCh) has stored OPV vials in the refrigerator. The nurses said they use a vial for one to two months. They place the order once in two months since only less than ten cases come for polio drops.( 'O' polio dose only). They are practicing this since many years.I found some nine partially used vials in the fridge freezer.There were no labels on the vials.
This is the standard of our paediatrician who is attached to a corporate hospital. No one was able to say "at what temperature the vials must be stored? .I feel this is the biggest fraud. I thing there must be many more such people like him. Can you say some solution to save our children from such elements.
