Case presentation A 23-year-old man presented to a hospital in a wheelchair with an epilepticus status . He had been experiencing repeated episodes of generalized tonic-clonic seizures while being unconscious throughout. He complained of weakness in his arms and legs, requiring the use of a wheelchair. History His history was significant for the following conditions for the past ten years.

Recurrent hypertension and tachycardia Intractable epilepsy Depression Anorexia nervosa Episodic abdominal pain Motor axonal polyneuropathy He didnโ€™t experience any pain between these episodes. He had been taking phenytoin, sodium valproate, and levetiracetam for the treatment of seizures. Previously, he had been hospitalized for pneumonia and respiratory failure, requiring prolonged ventilator support. Investigations Laboratory investigations were unremarkable for thyroid and autoimmune profiles,โ€ฆ
