The proper management of meniscal tear necessitates surgical procedures followed after an accurate diagnosis. 1 Various clinical and diagnostic tests such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and arthroscopic examinations have been developed to increase the accuracy in the diagnosis of knee disorders or meniscus injuries.
The study mentioned aimed to evaluate the accuracy of clinical examination compared to MRI, with the help of arthroscopic examination as the gold standard in the diagnosis of meniscal tears. 2 This ‘MED FACT’ presents the study, “ Comparison of Accuracy in Expert Clinical Examination versus Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Arthroscopic Exam in Diagnosis of Meniscal Tear ”, from the Advances in Orthopedics.
