The Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) has recently issued a mandate for issuing a detailed invoice which would come into effect starting May 1. This new policy is issued in order to empower patients. According to the new policy, it would be mandatory for health care facilities to issue detailed medical bills with information on treatment received, services provided and any associated patient cost-sharing obligations .
