Sir, Can the chief medical officer of a hospital (private) has the right to access the patient records of other doctors in the same hospital? (-Medico-legal or other) What is the law of our land in this regard?

A CMO has this habit of "inspection" of all the case sheets (OP and IP) of all other physicians claiming that she has ultimate authority to do so!
