Kidney cancer is the 15 th most common cancer, with estimated 431,288 new cases globally in 2020. Smoking, obesity, hypertension, family history of kidney cancer, genetic factors, and long-term dialysis are the major risk factors for kidney cancer. Kidney cancer is most often diagnosed at an early stage inadvertently during performing imaging tests for other conditions. While the prevalence and mortality of kidney cancer are decreasing in developed countries, they are increasing in developing countries.
