A 23-year-old Caucasian male presented to a clinic with discomfort in the oral cavity, itching, burning, and pain while swallowing. He reported having come into contact with a 2-year-old child diagnosed with hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). Initial examination Body temperature: 37.8 Β°C; General malaise The patient had small erythematous lesions on the hard palate and small ulcers on tonsillar pillars and right buccal mucosa.(Image1 of cover photo) He had maculopapular lesions on his hands and feet, some in the form of blisters, which were linked to coxsackieviruses and enteroviruses.(Image2 of cover photo) Medical history No surgical history No allergies The patient was not on any medication.
