62 years old women had, Diabetic, low BMI, she had severe pain in Rt RENAL angle and anteriorly also, with fever and vomiting, admitted treated INVESTIGATED, found to have severe renal infection with stone impected in lower ureter rt , with hydronephrosis. Ct KUB also done, which revealed there is ,small stone in rt kidney, a cyst, severe inflammatory swelling all over rt kidney, hydronephrosis and calyceal rupture......and one stone of 6mm in rt ureter. (CBC 16700, urine pus cells numerous, RFT NORMAL.
) Query is was it necessary to go for ct kub. CONTRAST WILL DAMAGE KIDNEY FUNCTIONS FURTHER OR NOT?
