Tumescent anesthesia is a type of local anesthesia used in specific condition particularly where condition like no ventilation no intubation condition as in burns contracture of the neck. Preparation of local Anaesthetic solution: 0.4% of lidocaine is prepared by addition of 1amp of epinephrine 1in 500,000 dilution + 30 ml of 2% lidocaine + 20 ml of sodium bicarbonate +1 amp of Hylase +450 ml of Ringers Lactate solution. Usually, 200 to 700 ml of solution is required for Anaesthesia. Indications: Burn contracture, above 18 years & 10% of total body surface area only can be operated.
