Dissection of the cadaver for the first time is always a fantastic experience for all teenagers who are getting admitted in the first year of any medical college. I am not the exception. Those were days 1974-75 at R.G.Kar MC&of Calcutta. Most of the cadavers used to be unclaimed bodies. The smell of formalin though pungent but was pleasurable. Anatomy teachers used to take a demo class after which we used to start dissecting with necked hands. Such practices made our palm yellowish.
We never bothered, only soap washing was enough as I was a hosteler. One funny incident I will never forget when once we faced a female cadaver. There started a bid! Who can kiss the subject? Among all present male & female classmates, one won the bid by earning 25 paisas! The name should not be disclosed.
