The Dubai Healthcare City Authority-Regulatory (DHCR) has recently issued a new license that will allow general practitioners to perform minimally invasive and non-invasive cosmetic procedures. The license will allow general practitioners to perform procedures like the application of dermal fillers and chemical peels, cosmetic dermatology treatments, body contouring and scar management that were previously conducted by plastic surgeons and dermatologists. To attain the license, the Dubai Healthcare City-licensed practitioners should have completed a recognized aesthetic medicine training program along with three years of supervised experience and successful treatment of 200 patients in the field of aesthetic medicine.
