The report is given treatment, not the patient. The lab technicians become the specialists and run pathology labs. The lure of money makes them businessmen. They sign the reports with impunity. Exploiting the leniency of the delivery of healthcare rules and regulations there are garage labs operating in the country. At other places, the big fishes to earn money open collection centres in garages which are operated by people who may be totally illiterate.
They being roadside people can stoop very low to offer commission/cut for the investigations ordered to the referring doctor. The experience and qualifications of a bleeder/ sample handler are dubious. It is unknown whether cold chain and other precautions are taken while transporting the samples.
