A 5 year old boy was brought to the hospital with peri-orbital facial swelling and bilateral leg swelling. The child had fever with chills and cough 1 week before. The child has loss of appetite and becomes tired very easily while performing day-to-day activities. The patient is experiencing lack of sleep and fatigue which is leading to weakness.
The child drinks plenty of fluids but urine output is reduced and urine is foamy in nature. How do we evaluate this case? What are the differential diagnoses? What are the principles of management?
