Earlier this week, a clinically depressed patient attempted suicide and hence was rushed to hospital by the family. The renowned multi-specialty hospital in Mumbai refused admission to this patient and denied immediate psychiatric service. The hospital failed to summon any consulting psychiatrists at the time.
