Dear friends, I would like to know if there are any guidelines by MCI for the use of Ophthalmic OTs by other specialities in Teaching hospitals. Many institutions do not keep the Ophthalmic OTs dedicated to Ophthalmic surgeries alone and claim that the OTs are fumigated after use by other specialities. Following this, it is said to be safe for use for Ophthalmic surgeries.
This is said to be for better and effective utilization of manpower electricity and space. I would like to know if there are experiences and suggestions regarding this.
