Is there any hearing aid which will improve sound discrimination rather than only increase the intensity of sound. The patient is 64 years and finds problem in sound discrimination. I wish someone could take measurements in both ears and give her a proper hearing aid just like specs. Patients mother never wore her hearing aid because she said that the loudness is very irritating.
Even sound of a moving fan used to irritate her. Even for the patient, some sounds are very irritating. Please advise.
