NEWS : FDA approval of a 2-month long-acting Aripiprazole Injection One of the company has formulated a once-in-two-months long-acting injection of aripiprazole. This formulation has been approved for marketing by the USA FDA and is expected to be available from mid-June, 2017. Aripiprazole is now available in 4-week, 6-week, and 2-month long-acting injection formulations.
These formulations are 441 mg, 662 mg or 882 mg once monthly; 882 mg once in 6 weeks, and 1064 mg once in 2 months. Patients can be started on treatment with any dose and at any interval. Share your opinion.
