Researchers have developed machine learning models that accurately predict the development and severity of common psychological symptoms faced by cancer patients throughout the course of treatment. Research published in the journal “ PLOS One” has revealed how researchers have created a new artificial intelligence (AI) that accurately predicts the emergence and severity of three common symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbance in patients with cancer. These symptoms are known to decrease patients' quality of life.
