In Patna, the son of the lawmaker who is ruling one of the party thrashed a doctor at a government hospital in last night. One person, who is an accused in the murder of a rival politician, allegedly barged into the hospital along with eight others and beat up the doctor. He hit the doctor with a wheelchair, looked like he came with the intention to kill, he is a hoodlum, said the doctor.
The police say they are investigating what happened but have made no arrest yet. The doctor was beaten up by the MLA's son who was accompanied by eight others. We are taking his statement, an investigation is on, said a police officer.
