It is a common practice throughout the country that in many private setup where pathological report of blood, stool, urine, sputum etc of patients are signed by persons acquiring medical laboratory expertise degree or many persons having non medical PG as M.Sc Biochemistry or Microbiology but it is illegal, all such report must be signed by a MCI Registered MBBS or PG or Diploma degree holding in Pathology/Microbiology /Biochemistry. It has been more clear now that in very small rural setup these can be signed too by these persons also provided either such doctors are not available or emergency condition where the report is for some essential tests only.
