During my ongoing futile attempts to get justice from the MCI for my deceased brother in a big corporate hospital of Kolkata, I had filed among many RTI applications, about the proceedings of the ethics committee held on 28-29/06/2013 as part of my case was being dealt in this meeting. In two of the RTI replies dated 15/09/2014 and 14/09/2015, the Medical Council of India, has informed me that the minutes of the meeting of the ethics committee held on 28-29/06/2013, though put up before the Board of Governors, was not approved by the Board for personal reasons. I found this totally unacceptable and could not understand this comment of the MCI on the Board of Governors, so I started exploring the matter in depth.
