A 55-year-old woman died after her artery  got torn while she was undergoing coronary angiogram. The women’s family cried medical negligence and filed FIR against hospital administration. The women had not actually planned the procedure at the hospital but was there to treat her husband’s urology issues. She suffered minor chest pain and thus decided to go for this procedure on examination and after doctors consultation. While performing the surgery it was observed that there was no blockage, but her artery was torn in the process.

She had to undergo another surgery which required 8 units of blood and 4 plasma units but her condition did not improve. She had been put on ventilation and she died the next morning.
