Here I describe the case of a 30 year active young man who came with pain and swelling in the knee. Clinical examination and radiology confirmed a diagnosis of "Synovial chondromatosis". His knee joint was filled with multiple small to extremely large calcified masses. The condition had worn-out his cartilage (smooth joint surface) and caused pain. A preoperative diagnosis of Synovial chondromatosis was done based on the classis radiologic presentation. We did an Arthroscopic (key-hole) debridement and removal of the loose bodies.
The largest loose body was more than 5 cm in size! His movements improved postoperatively. He was started on full weight-bearing on postoperative day 1.
