In private medical practice can a doctor reject his patient for future medical visits just because his attenders are a threat to the doctor in future? Few months back a patient visited my clinic (previously he had medical consultations with almost all doctors and simply rejected with an option of referring him to higher center ) with heart failure, he was treated and stabilized, later he was on & off visiting my clinic for the same condition but during all these time patient did not stop tobacco chewing and high salt intake despite repeated counselling. Then few days back the same patient visited my clinic with high-grade fever and vomiting, for that symptomatic treatment was done with IM paracetamol and IV ondansetron.
