This cross-sectional analysis of the NUGLIC study examined how mindful eating influences dietary intake in adults with type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Among 321 participants (median age 61 years, 58.6% female), mindful eating was measured using the MEQ-DM, and dietary intake was assessed with two 24-hour dietary recalls. The study found that hi gher mindful eating scores were associated with lower overall energy and nutrient intake. The awareness subscale was inversely linked to energy intake in both sexes, whereas the disinhibition subscale showed consistent negative associations only in women .
