both the eyes for the last 10 years. On examination: Visual acuity of (right eye) 20/30 and (left eye) 20/25. Slit-lamp examination: Conjunctival hyperemia and peripheral corneal opacification along with inflammation and crystalline deposits on the corneal stroma (consistent with interstitial keratitis).
Lab investigations: Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR): 39 mm/hour (normal value: <21 mm/hour) A diagnosis of interstitial keratitis was made, however, six months after the diagnosis, the patient came back with complaints of vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. Audiometry: Moderate sensorineural hearing loss in both ears.
