Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic condition characterized by pain, swelling, and joint stiffness. Identifying and treating RA in the “window of opportunity” within the first two years of joint damage is important to avoid further complications. There is no cure for RA; however, early treatment can help relieve pain and reduce inflammation. In addition, proper management will help reduce or slow down joint damage and prevent disability.
