Cardiac Myosin Inhibitors in HCM Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a genetic and myocardial disorder characterized by left ventricular hypertrophy and complex phenotypic heterogeneity. Conventional pharmacological therapies, including beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, and disopyramide, mainly improve the symptoms of HCM. However, a new class of therapies, cardiac myosin inhibitors, are disease-specific and target left ventricular hypercontractility.
