The Kuwait Ministry of Health has recently issued an order stating that non-Kuwaiti patients will be exempted from charges for emergency cardiac catheterization procedures performed at hospitals and health centers. Expat patients brought to the emergency departments with an acute heart attack and those who are at high risk of NSTEMI and STEMI will be exempted from the cardiac catheterization procedure charges.
The decree also states that the cases to be exempted will be decided as per the prescribed form and will require approval by the treating physician, the Head of the Unit and the Head of the respective medical department. Source: Arab Times
