My patient is a middle aged female presented with left side upper limb weakness. Which is initially only in the form of limb paresthesia. Which later progressed to weakness in holding object from her left hand. She also complains of vertigo and nausea considering it to be a case of cervical myelopathy.

I asked her for MRI cervical spine which turn out to be a case of foramen magnum meningioma. Patient planned for surgery and with far lateral approach tumors was removed completely. What is advantages of far lateral approach over post laminectomy and tumor removal, how to manage vertebral artery injury if occur during laminectomy?
